2 years, 2 weeks

Thursday was Isaac's 2nd birthday and Claire turned 2 weeks :) It was an uneventful day for Claire, but I think Isaac had a good day. He spent the morning yelling at anyone who said Happy Birthday to him, but in the afternoon he started warming up the the idea (I think he realized cupcakes were involved) We waited till after his nap and then did cupcakes and presents. Pretty low key. We had invited some friends over but they couldn't make it. Isaac isn't really a fan of other people, so it was good to keep it small.

I was really surprised how willing and excited he was to wear the birthday crown!

He was also really excited to blow out his candle, but he wouldn't get close enough to the cake!



Oma and Opa sent some money so that we could decide what get - we chose some Melissa and Doug blocks and they have been a big hit.

We got lazy with the wrapping. He's two - what does he care?

Our present to him was a new Geotrax set. We gave Blaise our first set for Christmas a couple of years ago but he never really played with it. In the past few months Isaac has become obsessed with it, so we decided it'd be fun to add another set. This one is a Toy Story set (it was on clearance - woo hoo)

And Claire was doing this during the party. I'm glad she was born a week early so that the birthdays will be spread out a little!
