Easter

Before I blog more about Claire I wanted to get caught up on other events. Here is Easter, mostly in pictures :)

The weekend before Easter our town had an Easter egg hunt. We forgot our camera, but here's a shot of the loot that we brought home! There were only about 80 kids there and they had 6 different age groups, so each group got a lot of eggs! Isaac's group was ages 0-2, so he was the oldest and there were a TON of eggs. They had also put out a ton of mini rice crispy treats and none of the kids were picking them up, so we got about 15 of those. Blaise's group was also small so he got a lot but Rae's group was one of the biggest and she was one of the youngest, so she didn't end up with as much, but it all went into a big pile anyway, so it didn't matter. Some of the eggs had money in them and we ended up with about $12! There were also pieces of paper inside some with prizes they could get at the end. We ended up with a few toys and a couple of Dairy Queen coupons. Small towns are great!

Our loot. Unfortunately the most common item was bubble gum - I think we ended up throwing most of it away.

The day before Easter we decorated eggs. Roy and the older kids got started while Isaac and I napped. I really hate doing messy crafts with the kids, so I knew Roy would be the better helper.

These glitter eggs turned out pretty, but they were messy!

Isaac got up from his nap and got to decorate some. He was so hilarious! He didn't want us to take the eggs out of the dye. This video STILL makes me laugh.

We did our Easter egg hunt after church so that we'd make it to church on time and the kids wouldn't be all crazy at church.

On Monday the 25th I had a doctor's appointment at 9am and we had to pick my mom up at the airport at around 4, so we hung out in Columbia for a while until we found out my mom's flight was delayed several hours. I took the kids home and went back later that evening with just Rae.

Riding the carousel in the mall while killing time!
