Happy 4th

Our family looked really cute this morning in our matching patriotic shirts, but we didn't get a picture and now we all have various food items on our clothes from our ward's pancake breakfast this morning.

I'm on the Activities Committee at church, so I had to be there at 7 this morning to help set up. We cooked pancakes and sausage, and also had some muffins, fruit and donuts. It was great and everything went really well and was cleaned up by 10. This was my last activity and I just hope that when we move I can finally have a break from the activities committee! (I've been doing it for 3 years now, along with other various callings at the same time)

I don't think we are going to go see any fireworks tonight. Rae doesn't even know that there are going to be fireworks and it's so just late at night before they even start. I'm not sure it's worth having them tired and cranky. Plus, in Davis it's hard to even get any parking at the park where the fireworks are, and I'm sure it takes an hour to just get out of there, so I think we'll just stay home and enjoy an early bedtime. :) Plus, Rae's party is tomorrow and I don't want her to be too tired.

Anyway, Happy Fourth Of July to everyone! Have fun doing whatever you do today!

We won't be doing/watching any fireworks either. Haven't since we moved here. Don't think Elizabeth would like them one bit. Plenty of years to come.
James was in charge of our breakfast, so he was up before the sun I think. I was lucky to get the girls there about 8:05...hadn't started yet, so we were good. Eveyone but me is asleep now.

I got up at 5:15. We set up and started cooking at 6:30.

We need an activities committee in our branch; we haven't had one for 2 years no. Wanna change your moving plans?

I am totally bummed, our ward did not have our annual pancake breakfast. For 3 years that I was chairman they wouldn't think of cancelling it, but now that I could just go and enjoy it... But Ray got up and fixed pancakes for us today:) Amy is working but gets off at 7:30, long before fireworks begin, so if we decide we are too tired, she can still take the kids. We are having 2 families with small kids over for a barbecue, swim party but not until 5:30 and hope it is down to 100 degrees by then (currently is 112) Other than that, a lazy day inside.
