I heard this for the first time on the radio the other day and really liked it. For some reason sometimes I get caught up in this idea that sick kids, busy husband and a messy house should be less common in my household and that things are "just too hard". Oh brother Ashley, it's just life. I guess I better get used to the fact that this is what real life is like, it could be worse, and I need to enjoy things a little more! Even if you don't like country you should listen to this song! So, now when I write about bleh stuff, I don't mean it as "poor me" and I'll try to make it sound a little more upbeat.
We are heading to St.Louis this afternoon to meet my in-laws for a quick visit. Be back Sunday night!

I love that song! That was so sweet and so true! Since I do not listen to country much, thanks for introducing me to that song!
Oh I'm so glad you shared! I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or cry, it really rings true, doesn't it? I can always find something to complain about but I know if I really stopped an looked around, I'd be more thankful for my life ... and the messes and the stresses!
Thanks for posting that! Really, I've been trying to find out who sang that song for ages...I even called the radio station but it was always busy :)
I just happened to hear that song on the radio last week too, and I was like, "C'mon dude, show a little sympathy." I do like it though.
Katie - yeah, he could show more sympathy, but the problem is that the guy complaining about stuff is also drinking his problems away after apparently recovering from a drinking problem. It's like if I were to blame my chocolate eating problem on life being "too hard" - when actually, it's just how life is and I can't eat chocolate everytime it gets hardish :)
